Going through my mail today, I was surprised to see my American Express bill came with an added device…a QR Code available on the back.
Nice idea. Now, when I open my mail, I can scan it and take care of things without going to a computer. The only drawback to this system is that it requires the download of an app that is only for iPhone and Android. Otherwise you have to try to look up the address in your phone’s browser, or wait until you get to a computer. Imagine if they had used a LynxTo or something similar. They could have provided a universally acceptable button to a mobile payment page, as well as some links to customer service, offers, or details about rewards. They could even pump up their social media numbers by getting some Facebook or Twitter followers.
For the smaller business, this is all possible with a LynxTo, for under $100.
So, what do you think? Would you find this useful?
